So we finally took over the new place and it is looking good, we are renovating it like crazy and it is finally coming together.

We were looking for our first house about a year ago, and met Geoff in an open house. At this point we had seen a number of houses and met a number of agents. We were rather skeptical about using a real estate agent at all, but Geoff was very friendly and took the time to explain to us how a real estate agent could help us to find the right home, and negotiate on our behalf to get the best possible price and conditions. He even explained how real estate agents get paid- which I think may be a mystery to many people! Geoff offered to work hard for us, and would be accessible to us, and was he ever!
Geoff took us to see a number of great houses, and did exhaustive research on the ones that interested us. He completed comparitive neighbourhood sales analyses, and provided us with information on what types of homes were better for resale. When we finally decided on a home, Geoff negotiated a price significantly lower than the asking price. He walked us through every step of the way. Geoff has great relationships with a number of highly respected professionals, so we had access to excellent mortgage brokers, lawyers, home inspectors and trades people. Our first home purchase was a great success!
So, recently when I was offered a great new career opportunity, and had to relocate, naturally we called Geoff again. Even though the home that we had chosen was in another city and fell in another real estate board, Geoff was able to negotiate on our behalf. Thanks to Geoff, the price that we agreed upon, was more than $20,000 less than the asking price! Now we just had to sell our home...
...Within 3 hours of our home going on the market, Geoff had secured two offers, and we had conditionally sold our house for the full asking price- $15,000 more than we purchased the house for, only a year before. Unfortunately the people who's offer we had accepted, were unable to get their financing in order in the time period we had agreed upon, we were a little worried. But Geoff called all of the people who had viewed our home, and was again, able to secure two offers on the same day that the first offer's conditions expired! This time, the best offer was in fact, over our asking price!
